BACOLOD CITY – One-hundred sixty-seven police officers from the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) were promoted, with Police Brig. Gen. Romano Cardiño, PRO-NIR director, leading their oathtaking, donning, and pinning of ranks here on Wednesday, July 29.
Forty-one were from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, followed by the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office with 40, Bacolod City Police Office with 23, Siquijor Police Provincial Office with 14, eight at the regional headquarters, and seven at the Regional Mobile Force Battalion.
Cardiño said every promoted personnel is expected to deliver faster, more responsive, accessible, and compassionate police service that strengthens public trust and reflects the organization's commitment to serving the community.
He emphasized that promotion is one of the most significant milestones in a police officer's career, recognizing competence, commitment, and years of faithful service while carrying greater responsibility to lead with integrity, professionalism, and compassion.
