MORE Power cites partnership with Iloilo City police vs illegal connections

ILOILO CITY – MORE Electric and Power Corp. (MORE Power) thanked the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) for helping them curb illegal connections here.
MORE Power President and Chief Executive Officer Roel Z. Castro said the ICPO does not only maintain peace and order in the city but is also instrumental in curbing illegal connections as part of their five-year development plan.
The ICPO accompanies MORE Power and barangay officials in dialogues with people with tampered electrical connections.
Police boosted MORE Power’s iKonek campaign which aims to curb electricity pilferage here and urged residents to connect legally.
“There are some barangays whose system loss reached a staggering 60 percent. This contributed to the 30 percent system’s loss overall when MORE Power assumed the operations,” said Castro.
ICPO recognized MORE Power as one of its 31 outstanding community partners as part of the Police Community Relations Month.
“This reflects our shared commitment to building stronger partnerships founded on trust, accountability, and genuine public service. Together, we will continue to uphold our mission of keeping Iloilo City safe, peaceful, and resilient,” said ICPO Director Police Col. Wilbert Parilla.
