Hong Kong-bound NAIA passengers stranded due to Typhoon Noul

Hundreds of Hongkong-bound travelers remain stranded at NAIA after Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) suspended operations due to the adverse effects of Typhoon Noul, resulting in widespread flight cancellations.
The airport has reportedly been closed since 1 a.m. on Sunday, with all inbound and outbound flights unable to land or depart because of severe weather conditions brought by the typhoon.
Airlines including Cathay Pacific, Cebu Pacific, and Philippine Airlines were affected, with passengers advised to monitor their respective airline websites for flight updates.
Flight operations are expected to resume at 9 p.m., provided there are no further weather related issues and the runway at Hong Kong International Airport is cleared.
About 2,000 passengers were reportedly stranded overnight at HKIA as the typhoon battered the city.
