Grade 3 pupil mauled to death by classmates in Davao City

A female Grade 3 pupil was allegedly beaten to death by her three classmates in a public school in Davao City on Friday, July 17.
Police Col. Peter Madria, Davao City police chief, said they have launched a full-scale, impartial investigation over the incident.
"We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family during this painful time. We assure the public that the Davao City Police Office will conduct a thorough, relentless, and completely impartial investigation to uncover the truth and ensure the case is handled strictly in accordance with the law," Madria said in a statement Thursday.
Madria urged people to avoid speculative statements or unverified claims on social media to ensure the integrity of the ongoing investigation and respect the privacy of the grieving family.
The victim complained of a headache following the incident and was taken to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) in Davao City where she died while undergoing treatment for a blood clot in the head.
Madria said the incident was officially reported by the victim's mother on Wednesday, July 22. Her family sought justice for her death.
The victim died following several controversial incidents in public schools nationwide.
