Man hacks wife to death in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A suspected illegal drug user allegedly hacked his wife to death and nearly decapitated her in an east coast barangay here on Wednesday, July 22.
Thirty-six-year-old victim Roselyn dela Cruz sustained multiple hack wounds allegedly inflicted by her husband, Jonel dela Cruz.
Investigation showed that Jonel got angry after his wife refused to come home with him while she was doing her laundry at his parents' house.
The suspect was enraged and attacked his wife with a bolo.
Relatives of the suspect described him as a drug dependent who suffered from sleepless nights prior to the incident.
The man was arrested and under police custody.
