A BRIDGE collapsed in Zamboanga Sibugay on Monday and injured a driver.
ZAMBOANGA CITY – A truck driver was injured after a bridge built under the Tulay ng Pangulo program collapsed in Barangay Camanga, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay on Monday, July 20.
Investigation showed that a white six-wheel dump truck was on its way from Barangay Palomoc to Barangay Camanga when the structure gave way due to the weight of the truck.
The dump truck which ended up on the bottom of the river was reportedly carrying 16 cubic meters of gravel intended for a concreting project.
The driver was brought to the George Hofer Medical Hospital in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The Zamboanga Sibugay government and the Department of Public Works and Highways are coordinating to ensure the safety of motorists in the area and facilitate the safe and orderly movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
