Vlogger killed, partner wounded in Caloocan shooting

A lady vlogger known for her content critical of the Dutertes was killed, while her live-in partner was wounded, after two armed men shot them inside their rented house in Caloocan City before dawn on Friday, July 17.
Police identified the fatality as Alicia “Mima Alicia” Lipata, 24. Her partner, known only as “Nelboy,” 25, was rushed to Camarin Doctors Hospital for gunshot wounds.
The Northern Police District (NPD) said the shooting happened around 3:06 a.m. inside the victims’ home in Tierra Nova Subdivision, Barangay 171.
Investigators said the suspects entered, opened fire, then fled on a motorcycle.
Lipata and her partner reportedly managed to run outside after the attack. She was later found dead on the road, while Tapong was taken to the hospital by their landlord.
The NPD and Caloocan City Police Station formed Special Investigation Task Group “MIMA” to pursue the case.
NPD director Brig. Gen. Benliner Capili ordered the task group to exhaust all investigative and intelligence resources to identify and arrest the suspects and determine the motive.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage in the area and appealed to the public to share any information, assuring strict confidentiality.
The NPD condemned the attack.
