President Marcos met with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during his working visit to Singapore on Wednesday, July 15.
According to Malacañang, the two leaders met at the Istana to reaffirm the enduring partnership between the Philippines and Singapore and advance cooperation across key sectors.
During their meeting, Marcos and Wong discussed expanding trade, harnessing opportunities in artificial intelligence, attracting more investments, and strengthening collaboration in health and social development.
They also agreed to pursue new bilateral agreements that will further benefit both nations, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said.
"The Philippines and Singapore reaffirmed their shared commitment in keeping ASEAN as a peaceful, stable, and prosperous region with greater opportunities for their peoples," the PCO said.
Marcos flew to Singapore on Tuesday, July 14, for a working visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, expanding economic cooperation, and reinforcing regional collaboration ahead of the city-state's assumption of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) chairmanship next year.
He will be in Singapore until July 16.
