Fans of K-pop rookie boy group Cortis were left worried after member Keonho was rushed to the hospital following an unexpected accident just days before the group's highly anticipated concert in Incheon.
The 17-year-old idol sustained injuries after suffering a fall, prompting his agency, Bighit Music, to release an official health update on Wednesday, July 15. The incident has also resulted in changes to his participation in upcoming performances, raising concern among fans eager to see the group live.
In a statement, Bighit Music said Keonho recently fell and landed awkwardly on both hands before seeking medical treatment.
Following a thorough examination, doctors diagnosed him with fractures around both little fingers. He immediately received the necessary treatment and is now recovering steadily.
Based on medical advice, Keonho will need to wear casts and braces while minimizing excessive movement of both arms to help protect the injured areas as they heal.
Because of his condition, Keonho will appear at the 2026 Cortis Tour "Put Your Phone Down" in Incheon on July 18 and 19 without taking part in the concert choreography.
The agency also said his participation in upcoming festivals and other scheduled activities will continue to be evaluated in consultation with medical professionals. Adjustments may be made to his appearances to avoid placing unnecessary strain on his injuries.
Bighit Music assured fans that Keonho's health remains its top priority and that the company will continue to support his treatment and recovery.
