After placing in the Top 6 of Miss International Queen 2025, transgender beauty queen Anne Patricia Lorenzo is now eyeing another title.

Anne is among the inaugural batch of 21 Reina Filipinas candidates, who were officially presented during a sashing ceremony on Monday.

Anne is representing Manila.

During a quick interview, Anne shared that she was surprised to learn she was the only transgender candidate competing in the pageant.

"Nung una po, I thought maraming sasali because I have my MIQ (Miss International Queen) sisters who are Lars [Pacheco], Sophia [Arkanghel], and Fuschia [Anne Rivera] who competed last May," Anne said.

Representing the trans community, Anne said she is proud to be part of the pioneer batch of Reina Filipinas candidates.

"Standing here alone, competing with my fellow women sisters, sobrang proud ako sa sarili ko kasi I know exactly na yung mga transisters ko, they are afraid to get here dahil doon sa judgement na makukuha nila. People always think that we transgender women are not equal when it comes to any competition," Anne said.

In the end, Anne said she hopes to inspire the younger generation of Transpinays to pursue their dreams.

"By standing here alone, I know exactly na naka-inspire ako dun sa mga bata in the next generation of Transpinay na hindi matakot subukan to compete and to follow their dreams."

The pageant will crown the country's next representative to Miss Grand International, as well as two delegates to Miss Grand All Stars.
