‎Hilarion is new Lamitan police chief

‎ZAMBOANGA CITY - The Police Regional Office–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) has designated Police Lt. Col. Janz Vladimir G. Hilarion as the new officer-in-charge (OIC) chief of police of Lamitan City, Basilan effective Monday, July 13.
‎‎Hilarion, of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class of 2011, steps into the role following his previous tour of duty in Maguindanao del Sur.
‎‎He succeeded Police Lt. Col. Elmer P. Solon, whose exit marked the end of a high-performing tenure defined by historic security milestones, enhanced public safety, and a relentless crackdown against the illegal drug trade.
‎‎"The transition reflects the PNP's commitment to professional, responsive, and effective police service while sustaining peace, order, and public trust in Lamitan City," the PNP said in a statement.
‎ Hilarion is expected to prioritize localized community policing, heightened police visibility, and intelligence-driven anti-criminality campaigns to ensure Lamitan remains one of the region’s safest economic hubs.
