A residential fire broke out along Congressional Avenue in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay, Quezon City on Saturday night, July 11, triggering a firefighting operation.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) initially raised the blaze to first alarm at 9:51 p.m., before escalating it to second alarm at 10:05 p.m. and third alarm at 10:15 p.m. as additional firefighters and fire trucks were deployed to contain the fire.
The blaze affected a residential area beneath a bridge along Congressional Avenue, where BFP personnel and fire volunteers continued suppression efforts as of this writing.
Authorities urged motorists and residents to avoid the area to give emergency responders unhampered access to the scene.
The BFP has yet to determine the cause of the fire and has not released any official report on possible fatalities or injuries as of this writing.
