DHSUD: 7,000 homes for low-income earners to rise in Tarlac

More than 7,000 low-income families are set to own their homes in another mass housing project in Tarlac City, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) said.

DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling said the project is located in Barangay Armenia and one of the horizontal or subdivision-type housing covered by Pag-IBIG Fund's subsidized interest rates, which means, affordable monthly amortization for homebuyers.

Aliling inspected a model unit with Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene Acosta. The model unit is a two-storey house with a floor area of 32 square meters and a lot area of 30 square meters for inner units, and 41 square meters for corner lots.

Each unit has two bedrooms and a toilet and bath, a spacious living area and ample space for motorcycle/e-bike parking.

Aliling said the subdivision is likewise designed to promote a vibrant and family-friendly community, with amenities such as a playground, a multipurpose covered court, and open spaces where residents can gather and enjoy recreational activities.
