Nintendo Switch stolen in QC recovered within 24 hours

A robbery suspect was arrested less than 24 hours after breaking into a home in Quezon City, leading to the recovery of a stolen Nintendo Switch worth P29,000, police said.

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the suspect only as alias "Gerardo," 62, who is reportedly the cousin of the victim's former live-in partner.

Police said the victim returned home on July 3 to find her room forcibly opened and several valuables missing, including a Nintendo Switch, a mobile phone, and a power bank.

After residents identified the suspect, the victim reported the incident to Project 6 Police Station (PS15), prompting officers to launch an operation.

The following day, the suspect allegedly returned and demanded P4,000 in exchange for the stolen items.
The victim immediately sought police assistance, leading to the suspect's arrest and the recovery of the stolen Nintendo Switch.
A robbery case has been filed against the suspect before the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office.
