Missing transwoman found dead in irrigation canal

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – A missing transwoman was found dead in an irrigation canal in Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija on Friday afternoon, June 19.
Initial investigation said the victim was discovered by a farmer lying face down and floating in the middle of an irrigation canal.
The farmer reported his discovery to the police.
Follow-up investigation showed that the victim had been missing for several days before her body was found.
Lawmen have obtained closed-circuit television footages and pieces of evidence to trace the victim’s movements prior to her disappearance.
Police have a person of interest in the killing. Netizens have sought justice for the victim.
