The Angeles City government has formed a task force to investigate the recent building collapse here.
Mayor Carmelo Lazatin II issued Executive Order No. 26 creating the Angeles City Fact-Finding and Investigation Task Force to conduct a thorough, impartial, and comprehensive inquiry over the incident.
Representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the task force have conducted a detailed technical evaluation at the collapse site.
They gathered material samples from the debris for laboratory examination and engineering analysis.
Authorities said the laboratory tests and technical assessments will help determine the factors that may have contributed to the structural collapse.
It will serve as the basis for recommendations aimed at preventing similar incidents in the future.
The task force said that the investigation will be evidence-based and guided by the findings of concerned government agencies and technical experts to ensure accountability and public safety.
