YouTube superstar MrBeast has reached another unprecedented milestone, becoming the first content creator on the platform to amass more than 500 million subscribers.
To mark the historic achievement, YouTube created a special one-of-a-kind Play Button exclusively for Donaldson. The custom award was presented by YouTube CEO Neal Mohan, who credited the creator's originality and influence for helping redefine what is possible on the platform.
"This achievement is a testament to what is possible when a creator has the freedom to follow their creativity and be their authentic self," Mohan said. "Jimmy, you are an incredible innovator, and we are so proud to be part of your journey."
Born Jimmy Donaldson, the 28-year-old internet personality has transformed himself from a young creator posting videos online into one of the most influential figures in digital entertainment. His rise has been fueled by elaborate challenges, large-scale philanthropy projects, and high-budget productions that regularly attract hundreds of millions of views.
Beyond YouTube, Donaldson has built a rapidly expanding business empire under Beast Industries. His ventures include the competitive reality series "Beast Games," snack brands Feastables and Lunchly, as well as Viewstats, a platform designed to help creators analyze channel performance.
MrBeast's massive following spans different age groups, though teenagers remain his strongest audience. Viewership data shows that roughly 40 percent of his audience falls within the 13-to-17 age bracket, while another 20 percent is between 18 and 24 years old.
