Basilan's second most wanted nabbed

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Authorities arrested a man tagged as the second most wanted person in Basilan during a law enforcement operation in Lamitan City, Basilan on Saturday, June 13.
The suspect – Mahdi Alabain Amansa, 30, a resident of Barangay Parangbasak, Lamitan City – was apprehended on a warrant for murder by a Basilan court. No bail was recommended for his release.
Recovered from the suspect were several high-powered firearms, including an M16 Armalite rifle with six bullets.
Amansa is also facing charges for violating Republic Act 10592, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. The suspect is under the custody of the Lamitan City police station.
