BACOLOD CITY – An 18-year-old high school student supporting the treatment of his sick mother was apprehended in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Taculing here on Wednesday, June 10.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) arrested Bords, a Grade 12 student, with 160 grams of suspected shabu worth P1 million.
The suspect said he obtained the contraband from an unidentified individual on a motorcycle.
Police Lt. Richard Legada, assistant CDEU team leader, said Bords, who was arrested for the first time, reportedly started engaging in the illegal drugs trade last month to support his mother’s treatment.
The suspect earned P1,000 per five grams of shabu sold. The suspect tagged as a high-value individual is detained at Police Station 6.
