Leading this year’s wins is Lucky Chinatown, which was named Mall of the Year in the Philippines. The recognition marks Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ fourth consecutive win in the category, following previous Mall of the Year victories by Festive Walk Iloilo in 2023, Eastwood City in 2024, and Uptown Bonifacio in 2025.
This year’s wins also represent Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ broadest recognition yet at the Retail Asia Awards. The group earned four awards across the Philippines categories: Mall of the Year for Lucky Chinatown, Lifestyle Mall of the Year for Uptown Bonifacio, Themed Mall of the Year for Venice Grand Canal, and Integrated Mixed-Use Mall of the Year for Festive Walk Iloilo.
The Retail Asia Awards recognizes excellence, innovation, and leadership across the Asia-Pacific retail industry, honoring companies and retail destinations that are shaping the future of customer experience, store formats, and retail development in the region.
At Lucky Chinatown, Binondo’s history and modern city life come together through a curated mix of shops, restaurants, cultural programs, and community-led experiences that celebrate the district’s Filipino-Chinese roots.
Lucky Chinatown: Mall of the Year
At the center of this year’s recognition is Lucky Chinatown, located in Binondo, Manila, the world’s oldest Chinatown and one of the Philippines’ most historic centers of trade.
Lucky Chinatown has long helped modernize the Binondo experience by bringing together retail, dining, cultural programming, and community-centered activities within one destination. Its latest milestone is the Lucky Chinatown Imperial Wing, a three-level expansion developed from the mall’s former annex.
The Imperial Wing introduced new retail, dining, grocery, lifestyle, and entertainment concepts that further strengthened the mall’s tenant mix and customer experience. The development also extends across the property through refreshed interiors, upgraded retail spaces, immersive Filipino-Chinese cultural experiences, and the country’s first suspended LED cylinder, a 16-foot, 360-degree digital installation that serves as a visual landmark at the central atrium.
Together with the Chinatown Museum and year-round cultural programming, Lucky Chinatown continues to reinforce its role as both a contemporary retail destination and a cultural gateway for the Filipino-Chinese community.
Uptown Bonifacio’s Lifestyle Mall of the Year recognition affirms its position as a complete urban lifestyle destination, offering a strong mix of global labels, signature dining, wellness, entertainment, nightlife, and everyday experiences in Taguig City.
Uptown Bonifacio: Lifestyle Mall of the Year
Uptown Bonifacio was recognized as Lifestyle Mall of the Year for shaping contemporary urban retail in Taguig City.
As one of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ flagship destinations, Uptown Bonifacio brings together global brands, chef-driven dining, wellness concepts, nightlife, premium entertainment, offices, residences, and community experiences within one connected environment.
The mall has become a preferred address for international and premium concepts, led by the country’s first and only Tesla Experience Center, alongside leading names across fashion, beauty, wellness, dining, and entertainment. Its premium cinema formats, curated nightlife, pet-friendly spaces, EV charging facilities, bike amenities, 3D LED elevator feature, and fire-and-water fountain further strengthen its position as one of Metro Manila’s leading lifestyle destinations.
Venice Grand Canal was named Themed Mall of the Year for bringing the romance of Venice to life through grand architecture, gondola rides, canal-front dining, live entertainment, and signature attractions that create a one-of-a-kind leisure experience.
Venice Grand Canal: Themed Mall of the Year
Venice Grand Canal earned Themed Mall of the Year for its immersive Venetian-inspired concept within McKinley Hill.
Built around a central man-made canal, the mall brings together gondola rides, European-inspired architecture, canal-side dining, picturesque bridges, live performances, and signature attractions that make it one of the country’s most distinctive destination malls.
Its themed environment continues to be refreshed through seasonal programs, dining concepts, and participatory attractions, allowing guests to experience the mall not only as a place to shop, but as a setting for leisure, celebration, and memory-making.
Festive Walk Iloilo was recognized as Integrated Mixed-Use Mall of the Year for shaping a complete lifestyle experience within Iloilo Business Park, bringing together shopping, dining, cultural spaces, hospitality, offices, nightlife, and tourism in one connected destination.
Festive Walk Iloilo: Integrated Mixed-Use Mall of the Year
Completing the four-category sweep is Festive Walk Iloilo, which received Integrated Mixed-Use Mall of the Year for its role as the lifestyle and commercial core of Iloilo Business Park.
Located within Megaworld’s integrated township in Mandurriao, Iloilo City, the mall connects retail, dining, culture, nightlife, offices, hotels, transport hubs, and tourism-driven experiences within one walkable environment.
Festive Walk Iloilo also forms part of a growing cultural and tourism ecosystem that includes the Science Museum, Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art, the Brandy Museum, and the Iloilo Convention Center. Through Festive Walk Parade, open-air dining, nightlife, pedestrian spaces, pet-friendly areas, and community events, the mall continues to serve residents, professionals, visitors, and the wider Western Visayas market.
“These four awards reflect the strength and diversity of our portfolio,” said Graham Coates, First Vice President and Head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls. “Our focus remains on elevating the customer experience, supporting the growth of our mall partners, and creating destinations that make happiness and meaningful connections part of everyday lifestyle in an evolving retail landscape.”
With these wins, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls further strengthens its position as one of the country’s leading lifestyle mall operators. Across Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, its destinations continue to go beyond traditional retail by bringing together global brands, local enterprise, cultural relevance, tourism, and community-centered experiences.
