Japan's Lil League collaborates with Thailand's fast-rising BUS on 'Loca'
Japanese boy group Lil League from Exile Tribe has teamed up with Nex and AA of Thailand’s fast-rising boy band BUS for the tropical pop track “Loca.”
The collaboration brings together two of Asia’s emerging acts, with Lil League representing Japan’s new generation of performers and BUS continuing its rapid rise as one of Thailand’s most talked-about boy groups.
Built around the image of a fiery and irresistible woman, “Loca” blends vibrant tropical rhythms with the excitement and intensity of a summer romance set in a southern beach resort.
The track marks Lil League’s first-ever featured collaboration. While the song is primarily in English, BUS members Nex and AA also take on Japanese vocals for the first time, adding a unique cross-cultural element to the release.
BUS has quickly established itself as one of Thailand’s fastest-rising boy groups, earning the Breakout Band of the Year award at the 2024 GQ Men of the Year Awards in Thailand.
“Loca” was written by an international team that includes EXILE Shokichi, Rico Greene of the Netherlands, Gaston of Malaysia, and Kohki of the United States.
The music video, filmed in Pattaya, Thailand, follows a mysterious woman who captivates the members of Lil League. Their search leads them to a local café, where they encounter Nex and AA, setting the stage for the collaboration between the Japanese and Thai artists.
“Loca” will be included in Lil League’s upcoming double A-side single release.
