Why this Cebu beauty clinic expanded to Manila

One Nadela Medical Group brings its philosophy of subtle aesthetic treatments, facial harmony, and personalized care to Metro Manila

Not too long ago, beauty treatments used to deliver the same results. Sharper features, tighter skin, fuller lips, with noses that followed the same proportions. People walked out of clinics looking noticeably different—and not always in a good way.

“Now, many patients come in asking for subtle refinement. They want to look healthier, more rested, or more balanced rather than transformed,” One Nadela Medical Group founder Dr. Niña Nadela-Kong tells Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. “There is also much more awareness now around skin quality, collagen preservation, and long-term aging rather than chasing quick fixes.”
This approach is what the Cebu-based clinic has been known for. Together with her husband Dr. Jule Yasser Kong and sister Dr. Pallas Athena Nadela-Digamon, Dr. Niña built a practice known for facial harmony and subtle aesthetic work.

Recently, they opened clinics in Makati and Bonifacio Global City. “The growth happened very naturally for us. Over the years, many of our Cebu patients eventually relocated to Manila or began splitting their time between cities, and they wanted continuity in the way they were being treated and cared for,” says Dr. Niña. “For us, Manila is not about starting over. It’s about extending the culture of care we had already built.”
For the clinic, facial harmony is of utmost priority, delivering natural-looking results. “Changing a face usually means imposing a trend or a standard that may not naturally belong to the person,” she explains. “Facial harmony is very different. It’s about understanding proportions, structure, movement, and balance while still respecting the individuality of the patient.”
“The best work allows people to look refreshed, balanced, and more confident while still looking unmistakably like themselves,” adds Dr. Niña. This is especially visible in the clinic’s rhinoplasty work, which patients often describe as refined rather than overly done.
“A nose should complement the face rather than dominate it,” she says. “When rhinoplasty is done thoughtfully, people notice that someone looks better overall, but they cannot always identify exactly why.”
This same philosophy extends to the clinic’s non-surgical treatments, including skin rejuvenation, collagen stimulation, fillers, lifting procedures, and laser therapies. Rather than treating procedures separately, the clinic studies how each treatment works with the rest of the face over time.

Technology also plays a major role in making these results possible. One Nadela Medical Group was among the first clinics in the Philippines to introduce Ultraformer MPT, a newer generation lifting technology that allows more precise and layered treatment with less downtime.
Dr. Jule oversees the clinic’s technology and treatment protocols with the same emphasis on precision and long-term results. “We do not adopt technology simply because it is new or popular. We study how it performs, how it integrates into patient care, and whether it genuinely improves outcomes.”
He also emphasizes that devices alone are never enough. “A machine is only as good as the assessment, technique, and medical judgment behind it. That is why we invest heavily in continuous training, education, and understanding facial anatomy.”
Even with its expansion, the clinic continues to keep its patient relationships highly personal. “We treat every patient the way we would treat our own family. That means being honest about what they need, thoughtful about how we proceed, and present throughout the entire process,” Dr. Niña points out.
Dr. Jule adds, “Every treatment still begins with consultation, conversation, and assessment. We look at lifestyle, facial movement, anatomy, and the patient’s goals before creating a treatment plan. Even the most advanced technology needs to be adapted to the individual sitting in front of you. That is what keeps aesthetic care personal.”
