No reason was given for the cancellation of the meeting.
To Lam arrived in Manila on Sunday, May 31 for a state visit to deepen bilateral ties between the Philippines and Vietnam.
Vietnam’s leader is also scheduled to meet with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. today (Monday) in Malacañang prior to the bilateral talks on trade, food security, defense, education and tourism.
On June 1, the Senate is expecting Vice President Sara Duterte to formally file her answer to the Articles of Impeachment.
In anticipation of Duterte and her legal team’s arrival, the Senate tightened the security in and around the premises of the Upper Chamber.
