ANGELES CITY, Pampanga — Eleven bodies have been recovered in the collapsed building here as of Sunday, May 31, exactly one week after the incident.
Five bodies were found Sunday.
The first (seventh) was located in the morning before 8 a.m.
The (eighth), a woman, was recovered at 2:51 p.m., the second (ninth) at 3:43 p.m., third (10th) at 4:33 p.m., and the 11th at 10:30 p.m.
Responsible Official Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II continues to closely monitor the situation from the Incident Command Post.
Bodies have been turned over to the City Health Office for proper documentation, forensic processing, and Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) procedures before their release to their families.
Search, rescue, retrieval, and clearing operations continue without interruption, amid weather challenges and dangerous conditions at the collapse site, officials said.
