Search and retrieval operations continued in the collapsed building here Saturday.
Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II personally visited affected families and assessed the situation after residents on Oak St. were temporarily stranded due to debris from the collapsed structure and barriers linked to a Department of Transportation (DOTr) project.
The city government coordinated with the DOTr to restore access while also working with the Angeles Electric Corp. (AEC) to repair damaged power lines.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) has been directed to extend assistance to affected families.
Responders have recovered personal items, including a motorcycle and a cash box, in the building which may help identify fatalities.
Six persons were killed and 14 are missing in the building collapse on Sunday. Movements were detected in the rubble and these are being investigated by authorities.
