DigiPlus Director and President Ping Chen

DigiPlus Interactive Corp. (DigiPlus), the country’s premier digital entertainment provider, has named finance veteran Ping Chen as its new president after Andy Tsui stepped down following more than four years of service as president and director of the company.

Chen’s appointment came after the DigiPlus board of directors’ organizational meeting following its annual stockholders’ meeting (ASM) on Friday, May 29.

He was also elected as a member of the board of directors during the meeting and will assume both executive and board responsibilities effective immediately.

“Bringing Ping Chen on board at this exact moment is a strategic move for DigiPlus. His extensive global experience, strategic insight, and proven leadership capabilities position him well to help steer the company through our next phase of expansion and long-term value creation,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio H. Tanco.

He added, “We thank Mr. Andy Tsui for his accomplished tenure at DigiPlus as president, during which he advanced key strategic initiatives, strengthened organizational capabilities, and championed the continued growth of the business. We sincerely wish him well in his future endeavors.”

During the ASM, Tanco said, “We are truly grateful for your service... Your shoes will be too big to fill, Andy. Thank you again.”

Prior to his appointment, Chen served as chief financial officer (CFO), chief investment officer (CIO), and executive committee member of one of Asia’s largest publicly listed technology and services conglomerates.

Before that, he spent two decades in global investment banking in Hong Kong and London in the United Kingdom (UK), serving as senior managing director at Moelis & Company and holding roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citi, and Morgan Stanley.

Chen brings more than 22 years of distinguished experience spanning the technology industry, investment banking, corporate finance, strategic investments, and executive leadership across publicly listed companies in Asia and global markets.

He is a seasoned corporate leader and dealmaker with a strong track record of driving transformational growth, executing complex mergers and acquisitions, and building international platforms for listed organizations.

He noted, “My mandate is to help design our long-term strategy and execute, also to improve our financial performance and operational efficiency, to deliver higher values to investors and achieve sustainable growth.”

“By navigating recent market transitions with prudence and deploying our resources strategically, we will expand our digital entertainment ecosystem and further elevate the user experience across our platforms,” Chen added.

Chen holds a Master of Philosophy in Financial Engineering from University of Cambridge and a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Management Studies from Imperial College London, where he graduated at the top of his class.
