ANGELES CITY – Rescue radar equipment detected four moving entities beneath the rubble of the collapsed building here on Friday, May 29.
Mayor Carmelo Lazatin instructed responders to immediately intensify rescue operations to locate possible survivors.
But this does not automatically confirm the presence of human survivors as the rescue radar is capable of detecting any form of movement or life signs, including those from animals such as rodents, cats, or dogs.
Lazatin remains hopeful that survivors may still be found as responders continue exhaustive search efforts on site.
The death toll has risen to six and the latest fatality, according to the Unified Command System, was a 51-year-old construction worker, the father of a previously recovered 26-year-old victim.
Lazatin, who supervises operations at Ground Zero, condoled and offered prayers to the families of the victims.
Emergency response units remain deployed on-site to ensure proper coordination, safety, and orderly recovery procedures.
