Enrich a child's education with World Vision's 'Ready to Learn Ready For Life' back-to-school campaign

Education in the Philippines is at a critical turning point. Recent findings from the EDCOM final report highlight a growing learning crisis: Many Filipino children are struggling to keep up in school due to learning gaps, limited resources, and deepening inequalities. For many families, preparing for school is not just about the excitement of a new school year. It is also about overcoming barriers that make learning more difficult for children.

But the good news is that you can help turn things around through Back To School, a campaign initiated by World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization, which aims to equip children with the essential school supplies they need to give them the courage and hope to continue learning. Through the Ready to Learn, Ready For Life campaign, supporters can equip children not just to go to school, but to learn so that they have a better chance at a brighter future for themselves, their families, their communities, and our nation.
The new, more integrated campaign goes beyond providing direct benefits such as school bags with basic school supplies. It aims to contribute to longer-term outcomes in the education sector, including addressing learning poverty/literacy crisis, supporting health and nutrition, and strengthening Early Childhood Care and Development, promoting child rights, and protection, among others.
In 2025, World Vision Philippines successfully provided school kits to 24,000 children nationwide, ensuring they were prepared for the upcoming school year. Apart from the school kits, World Vision also assisted children during emergencies and disasters, distributing school kits to help them continue learning even in challenging times.

But leading this year’s campaign is award-winning content creator Janina Vela, who has consistently advocated for the education of vulnerable children: “Our help and support for the back-to-school campaign is more than just providing basic school supplies; we are helping vulnerable Filipino children have better chances of reaching their full potential so they can have brighter futures.”
For in-demand events director Paolo Valenciano and his wife, Sam, parenthood inspired them to help vulnerable children get the best education so they can achieve their full potential.
"As parents, we know the importance of creating a nurturing environment where children can grow empowered, confident, and capable of achieving their dreams. Our commitment extends beyond our own children; we want every child to have the opportunity to thrive. Through the Back-to-School campaign, we're fostering a ripple effect that benefits future generations and the wider community. When we invest in children's education, health, and well-being, we're planting the seeds for a brighter future. Empowered children grow into empowered Filipinos, who in turn uplift others."
For P1,000, you, too, can equip a child with the tools and support needed to help them fulfill their dreams and reach their full potential. With your donation, you are providing more than a school kit; you are giving them hope. Donate now by visiting https://www.worldvision.org.ph/back-to-school/.
