The 23rd Quezon City Council reported sustained legislative activity in the first quarter of 2026, processing hundreds of measures and approving ordinances and resolutions that directly impact city services and programs.
The Council held 14 regular sessions and 60 committee hearings during the period, during which it acted on 341 proposed measures.
These resulted in 21 ordinances and 78 resolutions, along with the approval of 77 barangay budgets and the confirmation of 32 Sangguniang Kabataan budgets.
Among the approved ordinances were measures on urban farming training and education, Quezon City Nurses Week 2026, and billboard weather safety regulation.
Also approved were initiatives on child nutrition and maternal health under the Masustansyang Pagkain para sa Batang Pilipino program, the First 1,000 Days program on maternal and child health, the Sitio Militar socialized housing program, and the Quezon City Senior Citizens Birthday Package program.
The measures underscored the Council’s continued push to strengthen food security, public safety, health services, housing, and social protection programs across the city.
The 23rd City Council reaffirmed its commitment to advancing responsive and inclusive legislation that directly benefits residents and strengthens Quezon City’s community welfare systems.
