The Philippine National Police has appointed Police Brig. Gen. Mariano Rodriguez as the new head of the Police Regional Office-2 (Cagayan Valley).
Rodriguez assumed the post on Thursday, April 30, during a turnover of command ceremony in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Marallag, of Tuguegarao City, thanked PRO-2 personnel for their dedication, discipline, and teamwork.
“The successes we achieved were the result of unity and collective effort,” Marallag said.
He expressed confidence that PRO-2 will continue to move forward with stronger direction under Rodriguez’s leadership.
Marallag was assigned as head of the Directorate for Research and Development in Camp Crame.
Rodriguez is a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 1996 and former Deputy Director for Administration of PNP-Region 11.
During Marallag's stint, PRO-2 was recognized as the Best Police Regional Office of the Year and bagged several other national awards.
Rodriguez is from Catabayungan, Cabagan, Isabela.
