Go Negosyo to expand job fairs to provinces amid strong turnout in Quezon City

Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion said the initiative will scale up nationwide, bringing job fairs and mentoring programs closer to communities across the country.
“Trabaho at Negosyo adds the critical layer of entrepreneurship: this means proposing to job seekers that they can become not just the ones looking for employment but eventually be the people who can create jobs,” said Concepcion.
MSMEs generate more than half (66.57 percent) of the country's jobs.
Cebu next stop as program scales up
The next “Trabaho at Negosyo” event is scheduled on May 9 at SM Seaside City Cebu, marking the program’s push beyond Metro Manila.
The initiative combines job-matching activities with free mentoring sessions for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), offering participants both immediate employment prospects and long-term livelihood pathways.
The initiative, Concepcion said, also aligns with the “People” pillar of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC), which focuses on empowering MSMEs, youth, women, and human capital.
Concepcion currently serves as chair of ASEAN-BAC for 2026, promoting inclusive growth alongside the bloc’s other pillars: Planet, Platform, and Productivity.
Public-private collaboration drives program
“Trabaho at Negosyo” is implemented through partnerships among private sector sponsors, national government agencies, and local government units.
The program continues to position itself as a dual-purpose platform — bridging employment gaps while nurturing entrepreneurship — as more Filipinos seek sustainable income opportunities.
