Education opportunities in Manila received a significant boost as the Federation of Filipino Chinese and Chambers of Commerce & Industry Foundation, Inc. (FFCCCII) and partner organizations rolled out separate initiatives benefiting law students from the University of the Philippines College of Law and scholars of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM).
Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso received a separate P2-million donation from the FFCCCII.The amount will be allocated as a trust fund for PLM students, particularly those enrolled in the College of Allied Health Sciences.
“I will give this to PLM because we are building a trust fund. I am generating private resources, this is the kind of scholarship where everyone can become a scholar,” Domagoso said.
The mayor said partnerships with donors contribute to the city government’s efforts to support students and develop more professionals.
