The Pasay City government has expanded its “Libreng Sakay sa Pasay” program to provide relief to residents amid the continued rise in fuel prices and basic commodities.
Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the enhanced initiative aims to ease the daily transportation burden of residents, particularly workers and students who are among those most affected by increasing expenses.
Under the expanded program, several routes now cover key areas across the city.
Zone 1 includes SM Mall of Asia, 711 Revilla Street, Malibay Plaza, Mercury Drug, and Pasay City Hall.
Zone 2 runs from Pasay City Hall to EDSA Heritage via Tramo-Aurora Boulevard, Andrews Avenue in Barangay 185, Barangay 183 Hall, and the Pasay City Astrodome.
Zone 3 (point-to-point) connects Barangay 201 Hall directly to Pasay City Hall.
In addition, supplementary routes have been introduced, including Buendia–Leveriza–F.B. Harrison, Malibay, and Pildera–Villamor, further expanding commuter accessibility.
Rubiano said Zones 1, 2, and 3 operate from Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the additional routes are available during peak hours—from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., also on weekdays.
The mayor emphasized that the program forms part of the local government’s continuing efforts to support residents amid economic challenges, ensuring that transportation remains accessible and affordable for all Pasayeños.
