Four drug suspects were arrested in two separate operations in Quezon City and Taguig City that resulted in the confiscation of around P51 million worth of shabu, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) stated.
In Quezon City, the suspects with aliases “Ariel,’’ “Eduard’’ and “Ibrahim’’ were caught red-handed selling around P47.6 million worth of shabu to an undercover agent at around 2:50 p.m. along Payatas Road in Barangay Payatas.
Strategically-positioned PDEA and police operatives immediately pounced on the suspects as the undercover agent signalled that the transaction was consummated.
Further search led authorities to seize seven yellow foil packs labeled “DAUANYIN’’ containing approximately 7,000 grams of shabu, three identification cards, two mobile phones and the P1,000 buy-bust money and the vehicle used in the drug deal.
A few hours later, authorities seized P3.4 million worth of shabu following the arrest of a tricycle driver during another buy-bust operation in Taguig City.
Anti-narcotics agents collared tricycle driver alias “Rasol’’ during the 5:00 p.m. operation along Mindanao Avenue in Barangay Maharlika where around 500 grams of shabu worth P3.4 million concealed in four knot-tied transparent sachets were discovered.
Aside from shabu, the operatives also confiscated a white paper bag containing boodle money, a wallet with an identification card and cash and one mobile phone.
