EPD on alert to ensure safety of devotees, travelers during Holy Week
The Eastern Police District (EPD) on Thursday, April 2, said it remains on full alert and will continue to ensure the safety and security of residents, travelers, and devotees throughout Holy Week in Metro East cities.

The Holy Week security operation, which started on Thursday and will run until April 5, is being led by EPD District Director Brig. Gen. Aden T. Lagradante, with the EPD Command Group and support from the Chiefs of Police of PaMaMariSan CPS and the Force Commander of the District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB).
The EPD said it deployed personnel in key areas, including churches, transport terminals, major roads, and commercial establishments, to manage the expected influx of people participating in religious traditions such as Visita Iglesia and other Holy Week activities.
Officers are also stationed at Police Assistance Desks (PADs) to provide immediate support to the public for inquiries, emergencies, and other concerns.
It added that police visibility has been intensified through regular patrols, checkpoint operations, and close coordination with local government units and force multipliers, allowing for faster response and enhanced public safety.
