Police arrested a man and a woman who yielded over P300,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Feb. 26.
Operatives from the Taguig police's Station Drug Enforcement Unit and Station Intelligence Section (SIS) launched an entrapment operation on Convergence Street in Barangay South Signal Village.
During the operation, the police arrested Majo, 32, and Samil, 53.
The operatives seized seven plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 58.1 grams valued at P395,080, a P500 bill used as buy-bust money, and 13 pieces of P1,000 boodle money.
The two suspects are now in the custody of the Taguig police and will face a complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
"Every gram of shabu we take off the streets is a win for the safety of our community," said Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, district director of the Southern Police District.
