The Malabon City government will formally open the 3rd Filipino–Chinese Cultural Festival on Friday, Feb. 27, at 6 p.m. along C4 Road in front of Malabon Citi-Square.
The event will also mark the opening of a trade fair that aims to promote local businesses and celebrate the shared heritage of the Filipino and Chinese communities in the city.
The festival will feature traditional performances, art and handicraft exhibits, and food showcases highlighting the history, customs, and culinary traditions of both cultures.
The activity seeks to strengthen cultural understanding and unity within the community.
The annual celebration serves as a platform to recognize the contributions of the Filipino-Chinese community to Malabon’s local culture and development, while further fostering friendship and cooperation among residents.
Earlier, the Malabon LGU announced a temporary closure of a portion of C4 Road in connection with the festival to ensure the safety and orderly conduct of the event.
Motorists were advised to take alternative routes and expect traffic adjustments during the activity.
