The awarding was led by Division Chief of the Standards, Accreditation, and Monitoring Division of the NACC, Maria Charisma Cid, alongside Mayor Vico Sotto, Vice Mayor Dodot Jaworski, and members of the 12th Sangguniang Panlungsod. The certificate was received by Ms. Ernila Valdez, director of Tahanan ng Pagmamahal, on Feb. 23 as part of the flag-raising ceremony at the temporary Pasig City Hall.
The recognition was made following a certification assessment conducted by the NACC through the Regional Alternative Child Care Office–NCR (RACCO NCR) on November 17, 2025, during which the institution achieved a 92.77 percent compliance rating. As a result, it was formally granted Full Certification and a Certificate of Recognition, valid for three years.
During the short ceremony, the role of the local government in the continued operation and development of the NGO was highlighted, as through collaboration formalized under Pasig City Resolution No. 86-11, s. 2024, the city actively supports Tahanan ng Pagmamahal under the guidance of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
The local government said that clients from Kanlungan ng Pasig are referred to the institution, with financial assistance of P300 per child per day while under the NGO’s custody, and noted that nearly 50 percent of the children in Tahanan ng Pagmamahal’s care come from CSWDO referrals.
The mayor expressed appreciation to the NGO for its continued partnership with the city government.
Sotto also thanked the NACC, RACCO-NCR, and CSWDO, and he called for further improvements to adoption services and related programs to better serve Pasigueño children and youth.
“Ang Certificate of Recognition ay isang mahalagang milestone para sa Tahanan ng Pagmamahal, hindi lamang bilang pagkilala sa kanilang dedikasyon sa kapakanan at proteksyon ng bawat batang Pilipino, kundi bilang patunay rin ng matatag na suporta ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Pasig sa adbokasiya para sa adoption at alternative child care (The Certificate of Recognition marks an important milestone for Tahanan ng Pagmamahal—not only recognizing their dedication to the welfare and protection of Filipino children but also reflecting the strong support of the Pasig City Government for adoption and alternative child care advocacy)," the city government said.
It also stated that through continued collaboration between the local government and civil society organizations like Tahanan ng Pagmamahal, the shared goal of providing a safe, nurturing, and loving home for every child in need is further strengthened.
