The creative pulse of the capital took center stage as artists, cultural advocates, and art enthusiasts gathered for the successful opening of “Sining Manileño,” an exhibition celebrating the city’s rich artistic heritage and evolving creative identity.
Hosted by the City of Manila through its Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila and the Manila Clock Tower Museum, the exhibit highlights works that reflect the depth of Manila’s history and the vision of contemporary Manileño artists.
The gallery space was transformed into a dynamic platform for storytelling, where artworks explored themes of resilience, identity, and pride.
Each piece offered a unique perspective on Manila’s cultural journey, capturing both its storied past and modern-day realities.
The opening was graced by Councilor Lou Veloso, whose presence underscored the city’s continued support for programs that promote and empower local artists and strengthen Manila’s cultural landscape.
Organizers said the exhibit aims not only to showcase artistic talent but also to inspire greater appreciation for Manila’s heritage and creative community.
“Sining Manileño” will run until March 26, 2026, inviting the public to experience the capital’s artistic spirit and celebrate the stories that define the Manileño identity.
