Student falls from university building in Manila

De La Salle University confirmed that an accident occurred on campus involving a student who fell one floor from a building on Friday, Feb. 13.

The student was immediately provided medical attention by the university clinic.

It said that following the first aid, the student was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation, accompanied by the university medical personnel.

“School administrators are currently in close coordination with the student’s guardian to ensure they receive all necessary support,” the statement read.

The university urged the Lasallian community and the public to refrain from circulating unverified information or engaging in speculation regarding the circumstances of the incident.

“Out of respect for the student’s well-being and the family’s privacy during this sensitive time, we ask for everyone’s cooperation in maintaining a supportive and compassionate environment. The safety and welfare of our students remain our highest priority,” it added.
