Marzia Kjellberg was once known for makeup tutorials from her now-retired YouTube channel, CutiePieMarzia. Now based in Tokyo, she spends her time as a writer, fashion designer, and full-time mother to her son, Bjorn, and four dogs. Her latest project has her using her hobbies and vast reach on the Internet to support charities.

Announced via her Instagram page, Marzia recently shared a link to her shop where her artworks could be purchased to support a charity of her choice. Five artworks were made available and immediately sold out. Her medium of choice for the works is pastel, a powdered pigment known for creating vibrant colors and blending qualities. Marzia's pieces have a cottagecore feel, with rich, earthy colors that stand out. Most of the works presented in this catalog feature a home, isolated in nature. One piece, "7-11," shows a convenience store seemingly in the middle of nowhere with two buses nearby. It's reminiscent of the way Japan's structures are often built to blend seamlessly with its environment.

"My soft pastel paintings depict simple yet serene sceneries, often in vibrant colours; I hope my work can transmit a sense of calm and joy," writes Marzia on her website. "With this website, I would like to turn a hobby into a way to support charities, which is why anyone purchasing one of the original artworks will be able to choose how much to donate." Each month, a charity will be selected, and the total amount from the sales (decided by the customer at checkout) will be donated by Marzia.
