Social media influencer yields marijuana in raid

Authorities arrested a 29-year-old social media influencer and recovered marijuana worth P300,000 during a raid in his home in Barangay Minien West, Santa Barbara, Pangasinan on Friday, Jan. 30.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Ilocos Director Benjamin G. Gaspi said they recovered 100 grams of marijuana kush, 28 grams of marijuana vape, and drug paraphernalia.
Gaspi said the suspect’s arrest highlights the PDEA’s commitment to pursue high-value targets, regardless of social status, to protect communities and youth from the harmful effects of illegal drugs.
The suspect is detained at the PDEA Pangasinan Provincial Office in Urdaneta City and faces charges for possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
