The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Friday, Jan. 30, announced higher minimum jackpot prizes across all major lotto games, which will take effect starting Feb. 1.
In a statement, the PCSO said the updated prize structure raises the minimum jackpot for Lotto 6/42 to P10 million; Mega Lotto 6/45 to P15 million; Super Lotto 6/55 to P25 million; Grand Lotto 6/55 to P45 million; and Ultra Lotto 6/58 to P75 million.
The agency clarified that the progressive jackpot system remains unchanged, with jackpots continuing to grow if no bettor matches all six winning numbers in a draw.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles said the higher starting jackpots are intended to make every draw “more exciting and rewarding” for players nationwide.
“These higher starting jackpots reflect our commitment to keeping the games exciting while ensuring the long-term sustainability of our charitable initiatives,” he said.
“Every ticket purchased is not just a chance to win; it’s a contribution to the nation’s welfare,” he added.
The PCSO noted that while the enhancements include a measured adjustment in ticket prices, the changes aim to provide a more competitive “risk-to-reward” ratio for players.
Increased participation driven by larger jackpots, the agency said, would also expand funds for its programs providing health, medical assistance, and social welfare support to millions of Filipinos.
