Glamour and rivalry: What to expect at Miss Universe Philippines 2026

With just weeks left before the grand reveal of Miss Universe Philippines 2026 contenders, Mags Cue—Miss Universe Philippines National Adviser and Vice President for Global/National Search—ignited excitement by dubbing this year's powerhouse competition "Puksaan 2.0" (fierce showdown), promising an electrifying battle among the most phenomenal women in the country.

"Last year, the competition was already intense—we called it 'Puksaan.' But this year, get ready for 'Puksaan 2.0!'" Mags declared with enthusiasm during the sashing ceremony for Miss Universe Philippines Tacloban 2026 Jacqueline Gulrajani in Morato, Quezon City, on Jan. 26.
While the exact date for the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 press presentation remains under wraps, Mags teased that fans should mark their calendars for a spectacular event tentatively slated for the second or third week of February.

Mags amped up the excitement by hinting at what pageant fans can expect from this year's competition.
"Prepare for a star-studded stage—this year brings not just big names, but a wave of stunning, fresh faces," she revealed. "We have statuesque beauties, incredible talent, and fierce determination. There’s no word that captures the intensity except 'puksaan.' So I called it 'Puksaan 2.0'—because this year’s battle is just as epic, if not more, than last year!"
Amid global pageant controversies, Mags assured everyone that Miss Universe Philippines stands unshaken and stronger than ever.
"We’re not caught up in the Miss Universe management drama. Miss Universe Philippines remains solid, stable, and unstoppable. Our organization is united and unfazed—we’re here to deliver a world-class pageant experience," she affirmed.
Mags also revealed the shining qualities MUPH is seeking in the next queen.
"To every aspiring queen, let your beauty shine from the heart! Stay humble and remember— the right attitude is your ultimate crown. Radiate beauty inside and out as you chase the Miss Universe Philippines dream!" she added.
