Megaworld debuts AI-powered condos to capture tech-savvy buyers

Top township developer Megaworld Corporation is rolling out this year its AI-powered homes in select residential properties, starting with Park McKinley West in Taguig City through a partnership with global technology leader Samsung.
As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to reshape everyday living, Megaworld said it is leveraging the technology to deliver a new breed of pioneering residential developments that are more intuitive, responsive, and aligned with modern lifestyles.
The rollout will begin through the partnership with Samsung which will integrate a comprehensive AI-powered ecosystem into these next-generation homes.
“This initiative marks a significant milestone in the Philippine real estate industry as it combines Megaworld’s pioneering expertise in real estate innovation with Samsung’s global leadership in AI-powered living,” the firm said.
Megaworld said its AI-powered homes go beyond basic automation by leveraging the Samsung SmartThings ecosystem—an advanced digital hub that serves as the backbone of this technology integration.
Through a single app, residents can control and personalize their living spaces by setting automated ‘intelligent’ routines based on time, weather, device status, and user behavior, allowing homes to adapt seamlessly to their preferences and daily patterns.
These AI-powered homes are precision-engineered living spaces that integrate functions like intelligent climate control, adaptive lighting, and voice-activated command centers—all seamlessly integrated to respond intuitively to occupants.
The entire ecosystem functions to anticipate needs, adapt dynamically, and optimize performance, as in the case of energy optimization and management, to make the experience more personalized, efficient, and convenient for dwellers.

Under the program, buyers of Megaworld residential condos can opt to have their spaces transformed into AI-powered homes by integrating various Samsung devices—such as televisions, washing machines, and air-conditioning units, and other AI-powered devices—into the SmartThings platform.
Megaworld jumpstarted the smart home revolution in the Philippines nearly a decade ago with its pioneering iTownships initiative. This program was geared towards future-proofing its developments by integrating digital technology, design innovation, and seamless connectivity into its master-planned communities.
Today, the company takes that vision to the next level by integrating advanced AI technologies into its developments to enhance the way people live, work, and play.
Despite being in its early stages, AI adoption is surging across Filipino households these days. A recent study by London-based public policy research agency Public First reveals that nearly half of the Filipino population engages with AI-powered tools at least once a week.
This rapid integration is driven by everyday access through chatbots, virtual assistants, smart devices, and online platforms. Filipino Gen Zs are driving this trend, with approximately 52% leading the country’s AI usage.
