Genteelhome and IWTS Foundation unite for pediatric cancer care
Genteelhome and the I Want to Share (IWTS) Foundation collaboratively hosted an intimate lunch at Gallery by Chele in BGC on Dec. 10. The purpose of the event was to formally announce a partnership between the two organizations that aims to benefit the Bone Marrow Transplant wing at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).
The IWTS Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting pediatric cancer patients, while Genteelhome is a local furniture atelier based in Pampanga, known for its bespoke and sustainable home furnishings and creations. Through its Crafted With Kindness: Cancer Care program, Genteelhome will design and craft purpose-built furniture made from reclaimed materials for the IWTS-supported PGH wing.
Warm and functional loose furniture will be created to make the space more supportive, restful, and comforting for the children in the wing. Sheila Romero, founder and chair of IWTS, and Katrina de Leon, founder of Genteelhome, both warmly welcomed the guests and shared their vision of uplifting communities and making a meaningful difference in any way possible.
