Students in public and private schools in Muntinlupa City will get a one-week vacation to be known as Wellness Break.
Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon announced that based on the announcement by the Department of Education (DepEd), the Wellness Break in the city will be from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2 and covers all levels in public and private schools.
“Kasabay ng DepEd announcement, lahat ng antas ng paaralan sa Muntinlupa—public at private, kabilang ang ECED [Early Childhood Education Division], ALS [Alternative Learning System], at MCTI ‘[Muntinlupa City Technical Institute]—ay magkakaroon ng Wellness Break mula October 27 hanggang November 2, 2025 (In line with the DepEd announcement, all school levels n Muntinlupa—public and private, including ECED, ALS, and MCTI—will have a Wellness Break from October 27 to November 2, 2025),” Biazon announced.
He added, “Sabi nga ng DepEd sa memo nila, bigyang-daan natin ang kabuuang well-being ng mga guro at mag-aaral, lalo na matapos ang mga naranasang flu-like illnesses at iba pang kalagayang nakaapekto sa pag-aaral nitong mga nakaraang linggo. Panahon ito para mag-recharge at magbalik-sigla, handa sa pagpapatuloy ng mga aralin (As the DepEd said in their memo, let's prioritize the overall well-being of teachers and students, especially after the flu-like illnesses and other conditions that have affected learning in recent weeks. This is a time to recharge and regain energy, ready to resume lessons).”
Classes will resume on Nov. 3.
