A great milestone indeed!
Kathryn Bernardo is the latest Filipino celebrity to have her own wax figure courtesy of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
The announcement was made through a post by the museum as seen on their official Instagram account on Oct 22.
"Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is welcoming Kathryn Bernardo! Known as the 'Phenomenal Box-Office Queen,' she starred in the FIRST Filipino film to hit 1B pesos globally!"
In the video, Kathryn can be seen meeting with the museum's team, getting her measurements.
This achievement follows Kathryn’s success with "Hello, Love, Again," the highest-grossing Filipino film ever, earning ₱1.6 billion globally as of February 2025.
Additionally, the actress received the Snow Leopard Rising Star award at the Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) last November.
In a video uploaded by Star Magic, Kathryn shared how honored and grateful she is for the experience.
''It is truly an honor and I'm just very grateful that I get to experience the whole process kung paano ginagawa yung wax figure. Kakaibang experience and nakakatuwa kasi its gonna bring pride sa ating mga Filipino to bring the Filipino flag dun sa Madam Tussauds na attraction. Siguro kapag nakita ko na yung wax figure dun pa lang siya mag sisink-in sa akin," Kathryn said.
(It’s truly an honor, and I’m incredibly grateful to have experienced the entire process of creating the wax figure. It’s such a unique and fun journey, and I’m proud to represent Filipinos and carry our flag at Madame Tussauds. Maybe when I finally see the wax figure, that’s when it will all really sink in)
Filipinos previously honored with wax figures by Madam Tussauds: Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Broadway icon Lea Salonga, and actress Anne Curtis.
