Three-peat-seeking PLDT continued to flex its might and dispatched Choco Mucho, 25-21, 25-20, 25-19, in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Thursday, Oct. 16.
Savi Davison and Anastasiia Bavykina shone anew for the High Speed Hitters with their smashing attacks, combining for 25 kills to clinch their second straight triumph in the conference and extend their winning streak to 15 games.
The hard-hitting Davison came through with 19 points also built on three blocks and one ace, while Bavykina chipped in 13 points.
PLDT’s all-around game became evident in the one-hour, 24-minute match as they overpowered Choco Mucho in attacks, 43-34, as well as in blocks, 10-5.
Kim Fajardo was also instrumental in the High Speed Hitters’ offense, managing 16 excellent sets.
Import Anyse Smith finally made her debut for the Flying Titans and dropped 20 points, but it wasn’t enough to lift the squad as they fell to 1-1.
In fact, no other Choco Mucho player scored more than five points, with Isa Molde, Cherry Nunag, and Aduke Ogunsanya quietly contributing four points each.
