Operatives of the Southern Police District’s District Mobile Force Battalion arrested a man who was listed as the No. 9 most wanted person for illegal drugs in Taguig on Oct. 1.
Police said alias Charlie was apprehended in Barangay Katuparan, Taguig. He was convicted for violating Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The warrant of arrest for service of sentence was issued on Sept. 25 by Presiding Judge Bernard Pineda Bernal of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 70.
Alias Charlie is now detained at the Taguig police pending the return of the warrant of arrest to the court.
“We will continue to be relentless in our campaign against illegal drugs and in ensuring that all offenders are held accountable for their actions,” said Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, acting district director of the Southern Police District.
